Boudreau Family Genealogy Forum

I'm no guru by a long shot, just someone who works hard to find answers. At times, no answers are easy to come by in this hobby, which makes it quite frustrating to say the least. Personally, I's rather wrap things up once and for all and move on to another problem, but there are so many presented on this forum, and peoplejumping to all kinds of conclusions out of sheer frustration because records are missing everywhere.
I did also want to tell you that for the record, most Boudreau families with the -LT tacked onto the end come from Quebec Province. In my years of study of the family I have have found very, very few instances of Boudreaus from Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick with this additional -LT on the end of their surname. And don't look in Louisiana as they all just about end with an -X. LT seems to be a Quebec thing, and for the most part towards the northern and northeastern end of that province. The reason I mention this is because by looking in these other provinces, knowing this clue, you'll be wasting a lot of precious time that you could spend looking elsewhere, or trying to hook up to lines which are not yours to begin with. If Joseph and Mary had a daughter in 1879 (Josephine), why can't I locate the family in Ontario in the 1881 census? Where were they? Quebec? USA? These are the questions I have to answer, and also where is every one of them in 1901 census?
