Hi Cousin

I also descend from him through four of five of his children. Through Charles for the family name.

My question on the baptism. The baptism reportedly found was not from the LaRochelle area. However my understanding is. The only reason we know anything about Michel is from the Acadian records. And perhaps a few from Paris when he wrote to the crown. My understanding is no birth, census, baptism, marital, etc records were found on him in France.

However this reported baptism for a Michel Boudrot has a date which could be our Michel.

However I know nothing else about this record. And was hoping someone would know something about it. If it really existed, or was for an unrelated Boudrot, or could perhaps be our Michel.

After dealing with old Louisiana records. I learned to take them with grain of salt. They often left a lot to be desired as to the place of birth in France or Germany, even left a lot to be desired as to the spelling of names, and even the names themselves.

Take care.

Dan
