Dennis, thank you so much for this information. I thought if anyone could help, it would be you. And yes, Maxime, son of Pierre Boudreau did marry Ida Allain. My Allain cousin is going to thrilled with this new information; because a year ago she had put together our Allain book. The book is now in various libraries.
Now I was thinking, since my dad and his sister were named after their grandparents and great grandparents. I was wondering if the same could be said about Alphonse and his brother Celestine's children. What if Alphonse and Celestine were actually their middle names? That could be why it is so difficult to find any trace of them.
Here are the names of Alphonse Boudreau's two sons: Alfred Alexandre and Charles Celestine. His first son's first name was Americanize to Alfred, because I found his father Alphonse referred to as Alfred, also.
Dennis, could it be possible that my Boudreau brothers went by their middle names? (Charles Alphonse, Alexandre Alphonse, Charles Celestine, Alexandre Celestine). Or,the names could be names of their grandfathers?
Somehow, I think the names of Alphonse Boudreau's sons will be the key to finding their ancestry.
