We are looking for information on Charles (Charlie) Boudreau, who was born on May 1858, in Illinois. We think his father was Louis or Charles Boudreaux. We believe our family was from Quebec, Canada. There was another brother named Fredrick, who settled in Missouri.
We know that there use to be an "x" at the end of our name -- Boudreaux.
Charlie married Mathilda Gigurre who was born on Feb. 8, 1863, in Illinois; her parents were also from Canada.
Charlie and Mathilda moved to Emerson, Dakota County, NE and had seven children.
Charlie and Mathilda's son Goodwin (Jan. 3, 1884) moved to Cairo, Alexandra County, ILL. He married Elizabeth Livingston and had two children in Cario: Charles (b. 1914 & Lydia (b. 1919). They eventually, moved back to Nebraska.
