My grandfather, in a family tree completed by him in 1970 makes the following comments about Elie et al.He had personal recollection of conversations with his grandmother ("Grandma Boudinot" - nee Mary Ann Lockridge) who lived to 100 years, 1 month, her death caused by complications of a broken hip.
"Elie Boudinot was born at Marans near La Rochelle, France, married Jeanne Baroud by whom he had 5 children before he died about 1684.He was a Huguenot and left France for England in 1685 with his children and was naturalized by James II on 3/20/1686 with a registered coat of arms.He then came to Americalate in 1687, was a merchant in New York City and became the First Elder of the new Huguenot Church there. Also married Suzanne Porin in London on 11/7/1686 who bore him three children in America.
Elie Boudinot, Jr. came to New York City with his father in 1687 and was also a merchant and an Elder in the Huguenot Church. His wife, Marie Caree was a Huguenot from Poifou, France.
Elias Boudinot, Sr. moved to the Island of Antigua, West Indies in 1728 where he married Catherine Williams in 1733.Their first son John was born at St. James, Antigua on 1/10/1734.They then moved to Philidelphia in 1736 where six more children were born, including Elias, Jr.
John Boudinot studied medicine at University of Pennsylvania (1751-55), was a surgeon in British Navy and practised in Somerset, NJ.Probably died abroad about 1775.They had three children born in NJ."
There is much more, but this may be of interest.
