Gabriel Boucher Diamond Jubilee 75 Year Reunion 9/2009

Descendants of Gabriel and Mary Smith Boucher who migrated to Barry/Lawrence County MO from Allen Co. Ky in the mid 1830' will hold their Diamond Jubilee 75 Year Reunion in conjunction with 11 other families on the 3d Sunday September weekend, 2009.

The 12 Pioneer Family Reunion was established in September 1934 and comprised of family members and friends from Gabriel Boucher, Leonard Cagle, Jordan A. Morris, and Moses Pruitt. In 1946, it was learned Elizabeth Cagle was a sister to Abigail Hewlett and in September 1947 the Reunion was expanded what is now the 12 Pioneer Family Reunion because of the intermarriages found between the 12 lines.

Researchers have worked tirelessly and with great fervor to locate original farm homesteads and houses of the 12 Progenitorial lines. This has resulted in a CD-Rom with current roads and homestead land acquisitions found to date. The Boucher Cemetery is one of 3 pioneer burial locations.

If you are reading this and have any ancestor who settled in the Barry/Lawrence/Newton/Jasper County areas, (grandchildren moved away from the home and reestablished themselves next county over!) you are invited to come join us and help us celebrate the family ties, relationships and cameraderie on this day.

Contact me for maps to Monett, Pierce City and Mount Vernon along with our 12 Pioneer Family Histories as well as hotels and restaurant information.
