Actually the birth certificate would be better, but the marriage certificate will have groom's mom & dad. One thing to watch for in the civil records is that most town clerks who made out the records were not French - therefore names got butchered.
Once you get the marriage certificate that will also give his age and you can probably get his birth certificate from the archives (1892-1922 records are at the archives). for info from parish records try http://members.mint.net/frenchcx/http://members.mint.net/frenchcx/
