My GG grandfather was Augustin Bouchard, on his church marriage records it shows that his fathers name was Antoine. Augustin named one of his sons Louis (they called him Louie). Louis named his son (my father) Francis Augustin but they called him Nick or Nicholas. My father never knew why he was called Nicholas. I have not been able to find out anything about Antoine and I only know that Augustin came to the US about 1880 and was born about 1865. I would appreciate any information that you have on Louie, Antoine and Nicholas to see if I can make some kind of connection. Thanks for yor attention.
