The FrancGenWeb site has a page to research the origins of names at

It's in French and it appears to show 2 origins - one as a derivative of bouche and the other a Germanic one (apparently HARD indicates its Germanic orgin) from BURG (fortress) + HARD (hard) or BURG + DUR (hard).
