Hi Candice: Happy to hear from you. Look up the forum for
"Bock" "Jacques-Louis Bouc 1736 Berlin etc" by Micheline Filion #105. This is really interesting stuff eh? I am not having much luck tracing my relative Michael Bock(?) but I do know that when the Huguenots were driven out of France they went all over the world including many places in Germany, Wuerttemburg and Berlin to name only 2. There were many towns in Uckermark near Berlin that were almost exclusively Huguenot. I have read on the net that the Bouc families name was changed to Bock and that Jean became Johann and Jacques would have become Jacob. They would also have gone to Canada. I cannot find where in France the Bouc name originated. The Huguenots were Protestant but that isn't to say some didn't change back when they got to Quebec which was very Catholic.I hope this helps you.By the way the Lori you see is me in the other forum.
