Thanks for offering to help us.
The person I am trying to help is the great grand daughter of John Botts who was born in 1815 and died in Hocking co in 1874. He married Margaret Bingham who was born in 1822 and died in 1916.
Our problems start with John's father, who was also a John Botts. John Sr. was born in 1782 and died in 1852--maybe in Hocking county. He married Sarah Haines.
John Sr's father was also a John Botts who was born in 1732/33 and died in 1823 in MD. He married Elizabeth.
Our problem is the documentation of the father/son relationship between John and John Sr.
Any help that you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
