Anthony, I think you have the Thomas' mixed up. I am supposedly a descendant of the Bott's line & there are several named Thomas. Yesterday I was contacted by Nancy Woodard & I mentioned my connection to the Botts. I had seen some info posted on the LDS files at Latter Day Saints on the Bott's but one family lead me to believe I had found my connection. From Nancy Woodard I received: Thomas Botts b: 1656 (son of Thomas & Elizabeth) d: 1742 Henrico Co. Va. Bristol Parrish m. Amy in ca 1674; she was b: ca 1656. 2nd Generation: Thomas Botts b: 1674 (son of Thomas & Amy) d: 9 March 1742 Wharton Parish, Stafford Co. Va. m. Elizabeth Kannon/Kennon ca 1699; she was born ca 1679, d: 17 Apr. 1751 Overwharton Parish, Stafford Co. Va. 3rd Generation: Thomas Botts, Jr. (son of Thomas Bott & Elizabeth Kannon/Kennon) b: c 1702 or 1703. (This is my connection)There was some question to the date of his death. From LDS files: he died 1776. (My Thomas Botts died 1776 in Chesterfield County, Va. That date is the date his will was written. He was married to Elizabeth, then Anne/Ann). Was Anne nee Chappell? Nancy's info showed Thomas married to Anne Chappell and that he was a vestryman & received a 500 acre land grant in Henrico County, Va. Nancy's Soucre: The Rhodes Family in America. My info on my Thomas Botts showed he was also a vestryman & received 500 acre grant in Henrico Co. Va. but I had no ideal who his father was but he also lived in Amelia & Chesterfield Counties and had son named Miles Bott which confirmed Nancy's info...His LWT in Chesterfield mentions his wife Ann. 4th Generation: Lydia Botts (daughter of Thomas Botts Jr.) But I'm not sure yet which wife of Thomas was her mother. She married Thomas Bottom.
