I will leave this years later and for others. Circ 1720-1740 Rowan Co NC (where Salisbury is) was the western most settled area by European folks in America. This fact was researched by a Historian (not a Genealogist) but a US Historian Robert W Ramsey and reported in the Carolina Cradle.
