Lucinda Saunders Bottoms married David McElwrath in Sumner Co. Tenn. Her father was Merry Saunders Bottoms, and her mother was Polly Dye. Lucinda's daughter Susan Jane was my 2nd Great grandmother. I also have some other info on the McElwrath, Bottoms and associated families. I was told that Saunders was a family name, possibly the maiden name of Merry's mother.
