Barbara,

I have essentially the same genealogy as you do for the early families you have listed in your post. However, my source for much of my data is Ancestry.com OneWorldTree, and I would prefer a more primary source. If you, or your Dad can provide a better source, I would appreciate it very much. In addition, I have one major discrepancy (see below) that I would love to resolve with you.

I note the following specifics concerning your post.

1. I have John Bottom born about 1598 in Archers Hoop, Malmsbury, England. Did he live in Wales before immigrating in 1623, or did he just depart from there?
2. I have marriage info for two wives for Thomas, John's son, and a death date of 1667 in Jamestown, Russell, Kentucky. I have Elizabeth Hubbard as the wife of Thomas and the mother of John B. Bottom.
3. I have Thomas b. 1700 married Lydia Bott. This one is documented in Thomas' last will and testiment. Per your records, Lydia is the wife of Thomas' son, Thomas. I'd love to get more info and source information on this relationship.
4. Why do you refer to Thomas b. circa 1745 as Jr. Since he is the son of Thomas, who is the son of Thomas, is he not Thomas III?

Do you know of a Bottom or Bottoms Family Association that is working to get all of this straight? I have heard of such an association, and I would love to join, but I have no contact inforation.

I hope we can work together to get this all correct.

Thanks,
Jim
