your Robert Bottoms, married to Susan Ritter, may be the son of John Bottoms (from Ireland) who lived in Pickens Co., SC from the 1790's to the late 1830's. his wife Margaret lived at least until 1860, as she is listed in the census records. These are not Proven relationships, but we are working toward the verification of the Bottoms families in NC and SC.
