Thanks for your reply.Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner.Yes, I'd like us to pursue who may turn out to be common BOTTOMLEY ancestors.To the best of my knowledge Mary Anne lived and died in Manchester.Her son Henry James Brereton emigrated to Adelaide, South Australia, married an Irish lass by the name of Agnes Williamson and the two of them eventually came to Smythesdale, Victoria, where Henry tried his hand at gold-digging.They had a family, but he died relatively young and Agnes remarried.
I'm interested in corresponding with anyone who may be remotely to the Bottomley's of Mancester UK.
