I know a lot of time has gone by since your post but I just stumbled onto it.
While researching my family tree I have noticed it intersects with a Harry Bottomley born in Scotland.
He would have been about 23 in 1905.
He was a boiler maker and came from Scotland to New York.
It appears Harry was travelling with a 22 year old named William McAllister of Scotland and their destination was the same for a company called Forrest and Sons of NYC.
My great aunt was aboard the same ship and presumably they met then and later married. Some of the children were Harry Jr.(born 1907 or 1908),Robert,Cornelius,Mabel and Irene.
I have copies of the 1905 passenger list and one around 1919 when Mrs.Bottomley and her children came to Newfoundland for a visit. That's the one showing their children and their ages.
If any of this sounds interesting to you contact me at my email and we can talk further.
If this is the right Harry Bottomley and you now have all the information including where the children/grandchildren are I would be most interested.
Hoping to hear from you one way or another.
