Bottum in Chicago--1890s

Looking for the ancestry of Bernard BOTTUM born in Chicago to George BOTTUM in about 1918. Probably had a brother George Jr. George Sr. may have had a brother Hudson BOTTUM. Father of George Sr. and Hudson may have been Elias BOTTUM a lawyer working the the Chicago States Attorney's office who died about 1894 while in his mid 40s. Trying to connect this line to the (LONG)BOTTUMs who were in CT in 17th century before branching off to VT and Canada at the time of the Revolution when some of the family revolted and some remained loyal and had to forfeit property and flee to Ontario.
