I know this post is old, but I would like to post what I have.

Martin P. Bottom/s and Elizabeth (Suttles) of Carroll Co., MO.
Martin and his family were living in Lawrence Co., Mo. in 1860. Also there, was his brother, John Chandler Bottom/s and family. Martin and John had come from Adair Co., KY, probably in the mid 1840s. They were originaly from nearby Green (Became Taylor) Co., KY.
They were sons of Abner Bottom/s and Elizabeth (Chandler), of Green Co., KY. In 1840 the only Bottom/s (Heads of household) in Adair Co., KY were Abner, and Martin P.
It looks like John Chandler Bottom/s stayed in Green County for awhile, as did his brother, Micajah.
Abner Bottom/s and Elizabeth Chandler had a son, James Madison Bottom/s who married Julia Ann Martin. These are my ggrandparents.

I know alot of people think that Martin P. was a son of Robert and Mary (Lattimore) Bottom/s.
These all lived in Green Co., KY together. Robert and Abner both had large families there, and all Bottom/s in that area sprang from these two.
Robert and Abner were 1st cousins, who had come from Mercer Co., KY. Both were born in Virginia.
