William, Dora and Edwin Bottcher of Cullman, AL
I don't suppose too many Bottchers interested in their genealogy, judging by the number of postings here, but here goes anyway.Interested in contacting a descendant of William Bottcher and Dora Rambow Bottcher who were residents of Cullman Co, Alabama in the late 1800's and early 1900's.Dora was Dorothea Katharina Carolina Rambow, wife of William Bottcher. She was a daughter of Johann Christian Hans Rambow and Maria Elisabetha Dorothea Kundt.Dora Rambow married William Bottcher on Sept. 15, 1896 in Cullman Co, Alabama.5 known children were Dorette, Meta, Frederick & William (twins who did not survive infancy) and Edwin.I recently was emailed a photograph of someone whom the descendants of Theodore Voigt and Mary Rambow referred to as "Aunt Dora."Mary was a sister of Dora Rambow Bottcher and I just wonder if someone can confirm this as her. This is because Mary and Dora also had a half sister who in the German tradition, carried multilple names, one of which was "Dorothea":"Luise Friedrike Sophia Dorothea Kundt" though it is thought that she used the name "Ida" and was the wife of John Evers.Dora Rambow Bottcher died in 1949.Thank you for any assistance.
