This is not a direct answer, but may be a connection.

John Botsford 1710-94 (Amer Rev, DAR)Milford, CT m 1733 Anna Bennet d 1784. Son Abiel Botsford 1734-73 m 1757 Abigail Kent b 1736. Dau Abigail Botsford 1765-1844 m 1784 William Hill Fairchild 1763-1822. Daughter Emily Fairchild 1804-89 m 1821 Thomas Pollock 1793-1873, my gggrdfa. I believe most of these individuals were from Newton, CT. If any of this fits, I would be happy to exchange info. I don't have info on the Fairchilds beyond William. He may be the connection.
