Nathaniel Carver was a soldier at Fort Griswold. He died at Pawlet in 1805, aged fifty-three, and his tombstone records his service in the Revolution.
David Carver, 1776, was appointed by the Council of Safety as moulder of shot.
Simeon Edgerton served at Fort Griswold at the time of the massacre. He died in 1809, aged seventy-seven.

Ezekiel Beebe, 1775, enlisted in Capt. Paul Landon's company, Col. Timothy Danielson's regiment. He was a drummer under Capt. Samuel Williams, Col. Thomas Lee's regiment of militia. He died in 1841, aged eighty-eight.

John Slocum (1755-1828) enlisted, 1777, and, 1778, transferred to the Commander-in-Chief's Guard under Capt. Caleb Gibbs. He was at Monmouth and Connecticut Farms, where he was wounded, and transferred to the invalid regiment. Although he lost a leg, was not discharged until the close of the war. He was born in Portsmouth; died in Providence.
