Abel Botsford was born 1806 in Newtown, CT, son of Thomas B. Botsford, and Sally Beardsley. On 29 June 1838 in Newtown he married Charlotte Merwin who was born there 1810. Abel died 28 SEpt 1872 in Dubuque Co., IA. Charlotte died in Peosta, IA on 17 FEb 1874.

I know of one child:
Charlotte Botsford, b. 1849, Newtown, CT, m. F. Friedrich Heckel in IA in 1871, and d. Nashua, IA in 1936

Did Abel and Charlotte have any other children?
