Mr. Hays, perhaps you may be able to help me. We have been told many times that our line connects to the Hugh Botkin line but thusfar have been unable to find an exact connection.

My 4th great grandmother was Elizabeth Forth b. abt. 1780 Va. She was married 3 times and had children with all three. First married to a William Douglas with whom she had a son and named him William Douglas. Next to a Botkin with whom she had a son named James Thomas Botkin b. 1810 Pendleton Co. Va. and finally to a John Redmond/Redman with whom she had 8 children. We confirmed her name and my connection with an 1860 manuscript written by Elizabeth's grand daughter Deborah Redmond. We also found an 1810 Pendleton Co. Va. census that list Elizabeth Forth living next to Margaret Redmond, Thomas Botkin and on the next page was William Botkin. I also know that Thomas Botkin and Margaret Devericks had children named Thomas and James.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Julia Ann (Botkin) O'Connor
