Samuel C Bothwell born about 1770 in Monaghan, Ireland was the brother of Rev. David Emanuel Bothwell. He died Feb.5, 1828 in Louisville, Jefferson Co, Ga. His children were James Bothwell (b. abt 1790 in Monaghan, Ireland), Samuel C Bothwell (b.abt.1794)m. Jane Mountain 11/25/1813 (whose descendents moved to Cherokee Co,Alabama) and Jane Bothwell. The will for the elder Samuel C Bothwell probated in Jefferson Co, Ga mentions sons James, Samuel C, daughter Jane and grandson Samuel William. The will is witnessed by John W. Bothwell and David E. Bothwell (sons of his brother the Rev. David E. Bothwell).
