The Eliott family and Bothwell family could have come over from Donegal Ireland together about 1835 to Durham, Quebec, Canada.
Arthur Elliott m. Eleanor Bothwell about 1831 and that was before they immigrated. Eleanor as born 1813 Fermanagh and Arthur b. 1808 Armagh. They moved to Grundy Co. Iowa
The others were:
Jane Elliott b 1812 & james Bothwell b 1800, Terrone, Ireland
Jeremiah Elliott b abt 1817 Antrim m. Rebecca Bothwell b 1828, Antrim, Ireland
Anna Elliott b 1817, Ulster m. Edward Bothwell(We know nothing of this family)
John Elliott b 1819/1822 Ireland m. Jane Bothwell b 1820, Fermanagh Ireland.
With the number of Elliott's having married in this family, there will be a lot of descendants with this double line. I would like to contact them all and document the descendancy of my Jeremiah Elliott b abt 1780 and Ann Trotter Elliott b abt 1782, Ireland.
Love to hear from you.
