Carolyn;

A little about James Boswell, b 1785 VA, He was in Overton Co. by the time of the War of 1812, when he signed a petition to organize a military unit, he served in the war. He married before 1820, and in the census it appears he had 8 children , the wife 26 or younger. By 1830 in Overton Co. with a couple of younger children. Not found in 1840, unless a name spelling not noted. In 1850 in Overton with a much younger wife, Cinthia Honeycutt, married 7 July 1841, in Campbell Co. TN, said daughter of John and Mary Honeycutt, born in 1821.The family in 1860,70 and 80 in Scott Co census records. So far I know of no one coming up with parents of James Boswell/Bauswell

Howard Boswell
