Mary Boswell, parents unknown, m. Joseph Herndon c 1740. Joseph was born c. 1716 Drysdale Parish, Caroline Co., VA. Children were Benjamin Herndon (my ancestor), Stephen Herndon, Philadelphia Herndon, Mary Ann Herndon, Sarah Herndon and Joseph Herndon. Benjamin m. Sarah Pines Feb. 23, 1769 (in Spottsylvania Co?). Benjamin and Sarah moved to Culpepper Co., VA and then to Wilkes Co., NC (Horseshoe Plantation on Yadkin River). In 1786 they moved to Newberry Co., SC where Benjamin died in 1819. He was a Col. in the Revolutionary War. Would like to know about the Boswell connection and also the Pines. Thanks!
