I recently picked up a few bits of somewhat obscure info on the family, and pass it along in case others haven't come across it yet.
ca. 1802 Franklin Co., GA, WILLIAM BOZZEL (which is how he signed his name) signed a petition to Governor Milledge re the lottery of "Ft. Wilkinson." There was a long list of signers, including a couple that seem to be related to the family: Elias & Josah (sic) Burgess, and William Henley.
1820 Columbia Co., GA "missing" census info; Henley Boswell, Burrough's Dist #1; Josias Boswell, Cliett's Dist. # 2.
Montgomery Co., MD, on list of burials at St. Mary's Catholic Church: Mary E. Boswell 1823-1855. There were no other Boswells listed. Church's cornerstone laid 1817; age of parish, I do not know.
Does anybody have a facsimile of the 1813 Putnam Co. Tax List? The one that shows waterways and adjacent properties? If you do, could you give me the particulars on JOHN BOSWELL, Capt. Devine's Dist. Thanks a lot!
