A Lewis Boswill/Baswill/Bossel appears in Surry County, NC, from 1791 through 1810. The 1810 census shows him born between 1755 to 1774. In 1800 he has a son under 10, 2 females under 10 and a female (wife) 26-45, born same period as Lewis. In 1803 Elizabeth Bauswell/Boswell/Rauswell, daughter of Susanna Rauswell/Bauswell/Boswell b. 16 Feb 1799 was bound out to George Long. In 1807 Lewis Bosswell, age five years old the first day of September last [b. then in 1801/2] is bound out to John Dillard. John Dillard is not in the later census records that I could find. Lewis is listed again in the 1810 census and then disappears. Elizabeth's maiden name may be Kennedy/Cannady and she may have married a William Boswell/Bozzell/ in Wilkes County, NC. I would like to know if a Boswell family claims this Lewis B*. A Gustavos Boswell goes through Surry from Maryland and this Lewis may be part of his family. There is also a Patience B* in Surry b. in MD who may be part of this family. I do not think these people are part of my Braswell family. Someone, please claim them......
