I still have had no luck getting Bailey Peyton Boswell back from Williamson Co, IL to TN, where they came from in the late 1850s. I can't find him in the 1850 or 1860 census and don't know where in TN they were from. Have you ever plotted the geographic distribution of Boswells in TN in the mid 1800s to see what pockets of Boswells there were at that time and where to start looking in TN?
However, I did find about 25 articles on his grandson, Peyton Boswell (founder of The Art Magazine in 1926) and his family in the Ancestry.com newspapers for the Hopewell Herald. If you have that type of subscription, just search on Peyton Boswell and select the Hopewell Herald search results. (Noah) Peyton Boswell moved from Chicago to Hopewell, NJ about 1912, where they stayed, except Peyton Jr., who moved to New York.
