Hi, Jim:

Re your William Finley Boswell. the Virkus books have his family as follows:

William Finley Boswell b. 1806 Fairfax Co., VA, d. Weakley Co., TN.

Parents: Peter Boswell & Ann Bayne Binley (Findlay).

Peter & Ann m. 4 May 1783 P. Geo. Co., Upper Marl, Broad Creek Church.

Peter b. ca. 1753 (per IGI) "of" Prince George's Co.
Peter's father (per Virkus) John Boswell "of Charles Co., MD" a planter who died 1765. Peter's mother: Elizabeth.

Peter supposedly died Fairfax Co. 1806-7. I spent quite a bit of time in the courthouse there and could find only one thing on this couple, and that was an administration of Ann's estate (leaving the impression that her husband had preceded her, as it just mentioned household items, and never metnions the husband.

My interest in this family is the possibility that William Finley Boswell's brotehr, John, is the one I've been looking for, the John Boswell who married Susannah Bailey in Putnam Co., 1815.

I have more on these people, if you like; but I do not know the family beyond Peter's father and mother.

Billie Boswell
