Howard...

Thanks... I have a Dolly Bausell (reportedly b. abt 1873 Surry, NC ) that settled about 1795-1798 in Jonesville, Lee County, Virginia...

Our Dolly had a daughter Charlotte Bausell in 1791 which is coincidental to the 1791 dismissal of Isaac Boswell's daughter Dorothy Boswell from the Quaker MM...(I assume from Back Creek MM, Randolph County, NC).

In 1798, our Dolly Bausell became the housemaid of Drury Fletcher in Jonesville, Lee County, Virginia whose wife Sarah (Benham) Fletcher had eloped to Knox County, TN with a Edward Wilburn from NC. where they married in 1803. Sarah (Benham)Fletcher would not give Drury Fletcher a divorce however in 1809 the Virginia State legislature in a special action granted Fletcher his divorce....

However in the 1798-1808 time frame, Drury and Dolly (Bausell/Boswell) Fletcher had 4 daughters................. Elizabeth, Nancy, Matilda, and Susanna....

It is my belief that your Dolly Boswell (b. 1769 Pasquotank, NC) is our Dolly Bausell. However can not prove this with the existing Quaker records.....

One other question....where did Isaac and Elizabeth Boswell finally settle, pass away, and all buried....?????

Thanks

Bill
