I have read with interest your posting concerning Maryland Boswells. I too am working in this field now and have been in touch with Billie Boswell in Cal., with Henry Boswell in Columbia, Md., and with Mary & Ray Boswell in Ky.

Perhaps you will comment on the present status of my Boswell research. My GG grandfather is George W. Boswell, born in Md. 1805, lived from about 1825 to 1855 in D.C. Since the records of StJohn's Broad Creek Episc. Church show a George Boswell born 1805, baptized at StJohns, he could be the same one. The parents of the latter were Horatio Boswell & Sarah Dement; Horatio's parents were John Baptist Boswell and Rebecca. I'm trying to prove the identity of my George by looking for more D.C. documents.

For info re 18th century Boswells in P.G. and Charles counties, I've been reading in the Md State Archives in Annapolis.

How can I get ahold of:
Hasskarl, E.R., "The Boswells of Shelby County, Ky."
Pippenger, J.B., "Descendants of Edward Boswell" ?

In eager anticipation,

Richard E. Boswell
