Boswells in England, 1400s-1700

Recently at the NYPL I found a pamphlet written by J.J. Boswell titled "The Boswell history: And arms of the nobility." It was published in England in 1906 and describes the genealogy of the Boswells from about 1400 to 1700. I would like to know if anyone has been able to link these or any other English Boswells to the Boswells of colonial Maryland. The earliest ancestor that I know of is James Boswell who married Priscilla in Maryland. They had a son named George.
