Hi, Carol. I don't find the name Ishmael in the list of children, but that doesn't rule out the possibility. When and where was Ishmael born?
We have recently found that Samuel and Hannah (Beason) Boswell had 14 children. Some of the names of their younger children were quite unusual. We haven't yet connected with any descendants of this Boswell family, so for now we are dependent upon census info for the names of the children. Here's the list of the 14 children (all born in Lauderdale Co., MS):
1. William T., b c1848.
2. Virginia Ann E., b 1850. Married John B. Randall, 1866 in Laud. Co.
3. Horace A., b 1852. Married Cynthia F. Harper, 1880 in Laud. Co.
4. Kinsey A., b c1855.
5. Buena A. (female), b c1857.
6. Lenora J., b 1859. Married Charles W. (or S.?) Harper, 1877 in Laud. Co.
7. Ida J., b c1861.
8. Rufus M., b c1864.
9. Lorenzo L., b c1866.
10. Alosi Ala R. (male), b c1868.
11. Ulalia Apelonia (female), b 1870.
12. Clarisa S. G., b c1872.
13. Megelmo(?) (female), b c1873, d probably by 1885.
14. Stacy B. (female), b 1876.
