I just found a website of American prisoners of war in the Revolutionary War. They were held on the British prison ship, Jersey, in New York harbor in terrible conditions. Most of them did not survive. George Rogers Clark's brother was a prisoner on this ship and died after the war from the bad treatment. Among the prisoners were Gustavus Boswell and David Ward, who may have been Gustavus' future father in law. They were both in the Maryland militia.
