Thank you so much for all that information. I am now going to try and absorb all of this and see how it fits in with information I already have. I am so pleased I wrote in to you with details of the bible page, as it appears to have solved a mystery. And solving mysteries occurring at the end of the 1700`s is not easy. I hope it assists and you can help others in the future to follow the trail. Thanks must go to my grandfather who kept all sorts of family `paper` and after he died in 1972 he left a scrap of paper in amongst various documents in his writing starting the family tree but he wrote a `question mark` for his paternal grandparents. Solving that was fun - his 18yr old grandmother had gone to live with a 56yr old widower, they never married but had 13 children. When in the graveyard looking at their grave, a very old lady lady passed by and said `they were the scandal of the village`! The widower died at 75years old from `senile exhaustion`. Hope this brightens your day. Kind regards. Gail Notify Administrator about this message?
