Hello Sue,

Hopefully I can add some. I have seen census entries for George for all the years, 1850 Pike Co, Ill aged 1, 1860 Dallas, aged 11, 1870 Dallas aged 21, 1880 dallas aged 33 farmer, 1900 Dallas aged 51 farmer, 1910 Dallas aged 61 well driller, and 1920 Dallas aged 71 invalid carpenter.

The 1850 and 1870 censuses also give him with he father John. and mother Elizabeth. John can also be found in the 1860 census in Pike Co, Ill aged 74. (That came from Bill). John's birth is in England, but searching for a John born in England cc. 1786 is no help at all. There are far far too many.

As for Mattie Ollie or Ollie Mattie she can also be found in the 1920 census for Dallas, aged 39, roll 1792 folio 3, which shows her with 3 children, Leeola aged 12m Robert N, aged 7, and Jewell J. aged 4. I reckon she was born in July 1880 in Texas.

I hope this helps,
