Dear John, WEll, I have just read your query after posting my little (memory) story about BOTESTOCK and I believe that is where the Shipbrook Bostock's came from too.
I have a map by a man who has been researching this name for over 35 years and it has detailed around the region of Chester to Northwich to Nantwich, He has marked abouot four villages that appear to be almost adjoining = Leftwich ; Shipbrook ; Davenham ; and Bostock (Village)
The Village of Bostock is about 3 miles from Middlewich. I have contact with Elsie Abell of Middlewich who is researching her Bostock ancestors name. I am not familiar with it at this time, as it goes back some 13 or so years. Best Wishes for now from Thelma in Australia.
