All I can add to that is that a few of the bostock's in Australia were the founders of racecourses in different states. Eliza Bostock married c.1850 to Alexander McLean Hunter whose practice racecourse became the Flemington Race Course, where the Melbourne Cup is held each year. Others part owned race horses, some jockey's and some were trustees of original racecourses. Yes, all in the 'melting pot.'
I have a book called 'Silks and Saddles'a story of The Victorian Racing Club.....a few Bostocks and relatives included.
For now Thelma (Bostock) Birrell in Queensland Australia.
