I am aware of the marriage for Elijah and Frances Laura GARLAND in Warren Co KY in 1847.
I am also aware of Elijah and his brother, Benjamin, being on the roster of the 96th Militia Regiment for Simpson Co KY Home Guard in 1862.
I am also aware of the oldest child of Elijah and Frances did not survive infancy. The other five children did manage to live to marry.Jonathan married in Christian Co KY.Voltaire married in Caldwell Co KY.Robert marriedin Christian Co KY.I do not have data on Matilda nor Laura at this time.
Frances is listed in the 1850 census as F.1860 census shows her as Frances L.The 1870 census shows her as Francis. The census data that I have shows her as Mrs. BOSTICK, widow.
The only census I see as BOSTIC is the 1870.Evidently the census taker felt that BOSTIC was suffient without the added k.
As for the father to Elijah it seems to be William, son of William BOSTICK and all have roots in KY after the American Revolution and as Kentucky Co VA before a seperate state.
