My Bostain line came from Mathias Bastian that immigrated from Germany in mid 1700s. He moved to Rowan County NC where the name was spelled Bostian. About 1819 his family moved to Georgia where the name was spelled Bostain. At least one in this family, George W. Bostain, born 1836 moved out west to Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma Territory area before 1900. Perhaps you are decended from this line of Bostains. Goerge's children were Cornelius J., Sarah F., Alma Washington, Edda M., Ezekial L., Henry, Norman, Amanda.
