Bossinger/McGregor's Armstrong County, PA 1800s
Looking for information about my grandfather's grandparents who lived in Blanket Hill, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania in the mid 1800 to early 1900s.
They lived in Armstrong County as adults , and maybe they were born there but I have no records earlier than the 1870 census (63 year old Christopher McGregor listed with the family in 1870 could be James' father.)
Husband: James McGregor, b. 1832;d. 1880 (he died tragically one month before his twelfth (sp?)child was born,)
Wife: Emmeline Bossinger, b. Dec 15 1936 in PA; d. 1912 (There is a great picture of Emmeline on Find-A-Grave.com!)
Both husband and wife are buried in Whitesburg Cemetery, Armstrong County, PA
Twelve Children:
1. William Henry, b. 1858; d. 1895
2. Rachel Magdaline, b. 1860; d, 1906
3. Mary Ann, b. 1861; d, 1928
4. George Bossinger, b. 1863; d. 1931
5. James Christopher, b. 1865; d. 1942
6. Emmeline, b. 1866; d. 1942
7. Charles Preston, b. 1868; d. 1916
8. Caroline (Carrie Stone, or Mrs. Fennell,) b. 1870; d.1945
9. John Gilbert (my grandfather's father!) b. 1872; d. 1958
10. Ida Amelia, b. 1875; d. 1914
11. Otis Kelly, b. 1877
12. Rosa May, b. 1880
Any information or leads on this family would be helpful and welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Susan Griffith
