From "Basserman, Bauserman, and More - Something of Their Genealogy and Something of Their Lives from 1645 to 1995" by Howard M. Bauserman. There is some discrepency in the info, but here is what he basically says: Frederick Bosserman / Bauserman Christian Bosserman b. 1752, prob in PA. Married Susanna in 1775 - She is listed in the book as Susanna Holz and Susanna Margaretha (possibly middle name?) Christian was in the Rev War, mustered into service at Woodstock, VA 16 Sep 1777 in Col. Muhlenburg's Co. Christian & Susannah had 7 children, one was Susanna, b. 26 Apr 1778 in Shenandoah Co, VA - Married George Schultz Jr about 1802. Susanna d. 31 Mar 1862 and buried in St. John's Cemetery. It is likely that this Bauserman/Bosserman family is connected with the other Bosserman family in PA that can trace their roots back into the 1600's in Germany. The name was commonly spelled Basserman there, and in fact, one of the German descendants in a major executive in the German auto industry. Email me if you would like more info. I could probably make a couple of photocopies for you if you would like.
