We have an original death notice for Anton Bosse which states he was born in 2/28/1821 Birkenreid, near Heilgenstadt, Provence of Saxony, Prussia, emigrated in 1845, wife Elizabeth. The newspaper clipping is in German and was translated at some point. We believe the clipping was among the papers of our ancestor given to our father because of his interest in our family history. Our ancestor is Bernhardt Bosse b 8/10/1827, also of Prussia according to the original natrualization certificate we have. We are trying to determine if these two men are related. The assumption is that since the clipping is in our family there must be a connection, possibly a brother or cousin, but we have been unable to find it. Searches through the National Archives ships lists and Maryland censuses have not found Bernhardt although the family story states he lived and married in Baltimore. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
