I am researching our family name BOSS. My grandfather Edward Boss was born in Sobienie in 1889 and immigrated first to Iowa USA and then to Canada. Two of his brothers, William born 1886 and Fred born 1876 remained in Iowa. Their sister Karoline Boss born 1884 remained in Poland. His father, my Great Grandfather was JACOB BOSS and his mother, my Great Grandmother was EFRASINA HOFFMAN. She died around 1900. I am searching for any information on the family in Sobienie/Volhynia especially Jacob and Efrasina Boss.
