EDWARD BOSS (1652-1724) from HOLLAND/GERMANY??

I am searching for my ancestor's parents....Edward Boss who was born February 1652 and left Amsterdam, Holland for the U.S. He married Susannah Wilkinson around 1685 in Newport, Rhode Island. Susannah's parents were Lawrence and Susannah Smith Wilkinson. Edward and Susannah were the parents of Edward II (1685-1752), Susanna (1687), Peter (1695), and Jeremiah (1697-1774). They were reported to be of the Quaker faith and supposedly buried at the Quaker Church in Providence, Rhode Island. Edward could have been from Holland or Germany. HELP!
