Andrea

Some of the given names you have used are not Croatian

Joe English Croatian Josip, Joze, Jozo

Lucy English Croatian Luca, Lucija

Frank English Croatian Franjo, Frane

Peter English Croatian Petar or Pero

Here are some possibilities for your Peter's arrival

Age: 24
Gender: Male

There are several RAGUS found on this manifest.

Another possibility

Former Residence Gor. Hrasno (gor is Gornje meaning upper)

Age: 32
Gender: Female

Port of Departure: Trieste
Port of Arrival: New York, New York
Ship Name: Kaiser Franz Josef I
Destination to California to her brother Marko

As is so common her actual birthplace appears to have been a smaller village near Dubrovnik but not the city of Dubrovnik

Proper Croatian spelling is USKOKOVIĆ indeed an interesting name with historic roots! There was a group employed by the Austrians to protect Croatia from Ottoman and Venitian invasion... the grop was called Uskok Pirates

Gornje Hrasno is located in the Neum Municipality (the little piece of Bosnia-Hercegovina that divides the Croatian coast). This is not far from where Jela is from.

It is my understanding the all RAGUS/RAGUŠ/RAGUZ/RAGUŽ originated in the old Republic of Ragusa (now called Dubrovnik)
